How often have you seen this very common situation, someone stops for gas, or whatever, thinking everything is OK only to have their bike fail to start ? Most disabling failures that leave a Harley Davidson stranded on the road are related to the charging system. Your Harley Davidson can quit running suddenly due to charging system failure, causing you to come to a stop at very inopportune time and in a potentially dangerous location.

BUT...If you know ahead of time that the charging system is not working, you have a chance to get to help before the bike stops. It is even possible to go a substantial distance with a disabled charging system if steps are taken to reduce the load on the battery.

ChargeWatch warns you if your charging system is not charging the battery. When the charging voltage drops below a safe level, a "Super Bright" LED lights up letting you immediately know you have a charging system problem. If the ChargeWatch LED is out, the battery is getting sufficient voltage to charge.

ChargeWatch is a high quality, made in the USA, electronic device, designed by bikers to withstand the rigors of lots of miles while monitoring your charging system. ChargeWatch is easily be mounted on most bikes using an optional ChargeWatch custom bracket and the "standard" handlebar top clamp. This bracket fits between the risers and the top clamp without interfering with proper handlebar clamping and is designed to fit in with the custom look of your bike. ChargeWatch can also be mounted in a 5/16" hole drilled in any convenient location.

ChargeWatch goes into a "self test" mode each time the key is turned on. With the key turned on for a few minutes without the engine running, or if the engine RPM is not high enough to charge the battery, the red light will illuminate. As soon as the output of the charging system reaches sufficient voltage the light goes out.
